The Dream

Every Great Future
Begins as an
Impossible Dream.

There comes a moment in every generation when humanity realizes the old stories are no longer enough. The old systems no longer heal. The old institutions no longer inspire.

Metamorphosis began with one simple question:
what if healing wasn't something we visited — what if it became the way we lived?

Long Shan Village

Every Dream
Needs a Home.

For years, Long Shan Village existed only in journals. Sketches. Late-night conversations. Prayers whispered into the Earth. And the quiet faith that someday, somewhere, this place would become real.

Today, it has an address. And every day, that dream is becoming a little more tangible.

"

We believe the future of flourishing is not found in another product, another prescription, or another weekend retreat. It is found in community.

Organization

A Regenerative
Community Organism.

We believe the organizations of the future must be as alive as the communities they serve. Metamorphosis is being developed as a Regenerative Community Organism (RCO) — a model that weaves together House of Metamorphosis and Metamorphosis Ventures into one reciprocal ecosystem. Purpose and enterprise. Mission and sustainability. Each strengthening the other.

01

House of Metamorphosis

Serves as the steward of our educational, spiritual, and community mission.

02

Metamorphosis Ventures

Develops the sustainable businesses, programs, technologies, and healing infrastructure that allow that mission to flourish.

03

One Living Organism

Rather than operating as separate entities with competing priorities, each organization exists to strengthen the other in service of a shared purpose.

04

Learning From Those Building the Future

Nils von Heijne, one of the original co-creators of the Regenerative Community Organism model, is helping guide the evolution of our organizational structure as an EMERGENCE initiate and faculty member in training. We do not claim to have invented these ideas — we are honored to carry them forward.

Where We Began

Not With Certainty.
With Imagination.

Long Shan Village

Before the paint. Before the renovations. Before the bridge. Before the gardens. Before the laughter filled these rooms — there was simply a little house, a beautiful piece of land, and an impossible dream.

Every sanctuary begins this way. Dreams don't become reality overnight — they become reality one conversation, one board, one wall, one shared meal, one courageous "yes" at a time. This is what becoming looks like.

Economics

The Regenerative
Stewardship Model.

We believe the way we finance healing should reflect the same values as healing itself. Rather than relying exclusively on extractive financial systems, we invite our community to participate in the future of flourishing through stewardship, reciprocity, and shared responsibility. Different paths. One shared vision.

Stewards

Help guide the long-term future of Metamorphosis through ownership.

Builders

Offer Community Notes that finance land, homes, and infrastructure while earning a fair financial return.

Patrons

Expand access to healing through charitable support and community care.

Every Village Is Built By Many Hands

No one builds something like this alone. Every contribution becomes part of the story.

A Sanctuary
Taking Form.

Close your eyes. Imagine arriving here.
Morning tea overlooking the mountains.
Children running through the gardens.
Music drifting through the valley.

Shared meals prepared from food grown on the land.
Fire circles beneath the stars.
Spaces designed for deep healing, and communities designed for lifelong belonging.

Governance

The Tree
of Life.

The future deserves more than better leaders. It deserves better leadership systems. Rather than concentrating authority into a traditional hierarchy, Metamorphosis is developing a distributed model of stewardship inspired by the Tree of Life.

Our Council of Guardians is designed to bring together many forms of wisdom — vision, structure, compassion, creativity, accountability, and service — into one living system. This model is taught through EMERGENCE and continues to evolve alongside the community itself.

Where We Are Today

This Is What
Becoming Looks Like.

Long Shan Village is alive with builders, artists, healers, families, and visionaries helping transform this place into a home — not only for themselves, but for generations yet to come.

Huanying (Welcome) House

The transformation of the Welcome House anchors the first phase of the village vision.

Founding Community Formation

We are inviting Stewards, Builders, and Patrons into the early circle around Long Shan Village.

Land, Homes & Infrastructure

Community Notes from Builders finance the homes, infrastructure, and new initiatives ahead.

Where We Are Going

Flourishing Is More Than Healing

A Way
of Life.

Healing is essential — it helps us remember who we are.
But flourishing asks an even deeper question: who might we become when we are truly supported?
Long Shan Village is being designed for all of it, because flourishing is not a destination.
It is a way of life.
